Dear sneapers,

In our free electron laser (FEL), based on old EN tandem Van DE Graaff, we use titanium screens bonded with alumina, as beam viewers. These screens are viewed by simple CCD camera which transfers a video signal over fiber optics to the control room. Unfortunately we have no enough data about the fluorescent material such : energy of saturation , illuminating time etc'.

We are working know to improve this set up and I wondered if somebody has similar experience.

Our electron beam parameters are:

Beam energy: 1.4-2.0MeV

Pulse widths: 20usec

Beam size: 1-30mm

I'll appreciates any references or help

Regards

Yoram Lasser
