Dear Devon,
we have obtained the best results for Erbium with
our Cs sputter source 860-C.
The cathode is a mixture of Erbium oxid and Tungsten powder.
(we use Tungsten instead of Silver).
At the accelerator entrance we have obtained about 0.9 µA of ErO-
(mixture of the isotopes 166, 167 and 168).
The beam is stable over some hours.
For other rare earth elements: GdO- 9.4-0.7 µA, SmO2- 0.2-0.45 µA.
The results you can see also at:
www.fzd.de/FWI/FWII -->accelerated ions.
Best regards Manfred
