Sneapers,
The University of Washington Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and
Astrophysics (formerly the Nuclear Physics Lab) is surplussing our three
RS Helium Compressors. These are Dunham Bush hermetically-sealed 100 Hp
direct coupled motor/compressor pumps by Dunham Bush integrated into a
skid mounted, system by Koch Process Systems in the mid-1980's. Each
system includes the following: oil separators, a charcoal filter,
coolant-to-water and helium-to-water heat exchangers, plus valving,
gages, interlock loop, start and stop buttons (but no motor
starter/contactors or circuit breakers), and load/unload system. All
three were running satisfactorily when we shut them down to mothball our
cryogenic system in Sept 2000. Each compresses 17 g/s to 250 psig.
These are 465 Vac 3 phase units.
