Hello
We use lots and lots of NIM electronics. All of our bins and most of
our modules are Ortec. Occasionally a module will fail, but usually
only after it has been in use for about twenty years. Ortec modules
include bias power supplies, amplifiers, current digitizers,
timer/counters, and lots of others. We also use some from Canberra.
These include ADC's, DSP's, pulsers (they bought Tennelec), and MCA's.
These two brands are all I have experience with, but they've been very
reliable.

Subject: [Sneap] NIM module vendors
Hello,
I am prensently developing a control and data aqcuisition system for a
new experiment in our group and we need various NIM electronics modules.
I've found various vendors and would like to get some feedback or
experiences from you. (I've browsed the archive for the last three
months and didn't see anything related)
Is anyone here familiar with CAEN, Ortec or Phillips Scientific? How
would you rate their quality of products and service?
Thanks,
Michael
