[Sneap] NIM module vendors

Michael,
We pretty much agree with the comments so far from others. We use all
three brands you mention, although the CAEN modules we use are VME, not
NIM. Another company we like is Mech-Tronics Nuclear but only for their
NIM bins and power supplies. We have had good luck upgrading our older
NIM bins without 6 volt power to bins with 6 volt power by replacing the
power supply modules with ones from Mech-Tronics. They have been
reliable and stable and are by far the least expensive power supplies we
could find. The only Mech-Tronics modules we have are very old and I
can't really say much about their current offerings except that we have
never purchased any. We've always opted for the tried-and-true Ortec,
Phillips and Canberra modules.
