[Sneap] etching of PCBs

Tom,

How big is the double sided board that you need?

I make my own boards using board material from GC. The board material is
pre-coated with positive acting coating, costing $25.00 for a 12" x 12"
copper on both sides ($19.00 for copper on one side). I use software
"EZ-Route Pro" by Advanced Microcomputer Systems. (The program includes
software to make schematics too).

After designing the board:

1.	Print out on transparency material.
2.	Lay the transparency on the board material (using a glass frame to
pres the artwork tight to the board) , expose for 1 minute (each side)
3. Put the board in developer, this step take about 20 to 30 seconds.

The board is ready to be etched.

Although double side boards can be produced as I have described above, often
one can get away with single sided board design. I have attached a board
for a single sided board that could have been double sided. (Please note
that some of the circuit paths seem to touch, but printing to .pdf file has
lost some of the resolution). Also is attached is the component layout.
The photo attached is a finished board, but a different version of the
regulator board.

The above description is general. Call me to get some finer details that I
didn't outline.

Fellow SNEAPERs:

I am looking for someone that will etch some very simple 2-sided PCBs. Who
do you recommend?

I contacted PCB Express and they want $125 per board. Since I have 12 boards
and would like 2 of each I'm looking at a very large cost.

Can someone help me out?

Thank you. Cheers!!!!
