Try the 1996 , 1997, and 1998 SNEAP proceedings. Steve Ferguson at WMU and I at ORNL both tried two different Ammeraal belts in our ENs - one the white belt and the other the white on the inside and yellow on the outside. I did not feel that it either were good in an EN, primarily because the belt cover kept coming off from abrasion and the belt was damaged (carbonized tracks) by sparks too easily. Perhaps in a smaller machine it would be OK. Tank gas really did not effect it. I really think that neoprene is the best belt surface material, but since it must be vulcanized on, it is not very popular with the belt manufacturers. Ammeraal was very helpful and interested in our success. You must specify to them that the belt be shipped with no bends less that ~10" or it will have a couple nasty kinks in it that will take a long time to smooth out.

Stay out of the High Voltage,
