Greetings!

1.

The (good) registration link for our SNEAP conference is finally up.
You can access it directly here:

http://www.conferences.housing.umich.edu/sneap/

or from the main SNEAP page
http://www-ners.engin.umich.edu/research/Mibl/Sneap/2008.htm by
selecting registration.

Because the previous attempts to register have gone into Never-land,
please be so kind as to register again. This time even the conference
fee can be paid and we can start tallying the participants for logistic
purposes. We will need to have an idea soon as to how many people will
come. If you plan to attend but want to register only when you arrive,
that will be fine as long as you (re)confirm that with me.

2.

This is the first official call for papers. As any respectable
conference, we need speakers and presenters. We took care of some
important presentations (see next point) but we need additional
contributions. If you think you will make one, please be so kind as to
send me your abstract as soon as you know what you would like to present

3.

As decided last year we are going to start a series of presentations
targeted to a larger audience, but very useful for all of us as well,
expert or novice in the field. These will be as follows (one each day
Tue, Wed, Thurs morning of the conference week and not necessarily in
this order):

A) Electrostatics and Charging Systems: David Weisser, ANU

B) HV and Radiation safety: Martha Meigs: ORNL

C) Ion Sources: Greg Norton (NEC) and Frank Chmara (Peabody Scientific).

Looking forward to hear from you,

Ovidiu
