I apologize if this email is off-topic for the forum, but I thought that 
maybe some members might be interested in a fresh bit of 'public 
awareness' of the uses to which an electron accelerator can be put.  If 
postings are moderated, I defer to the judgement of the moderator as to 
whether to distribute.

Disclaimer aside - here is a link to the on-line version of an article 
in a general interest magazine on an on-going use of a LINAC.  (Yes, my 
hands do appear in some of the pictures - it's based on a research study 
my team is doing ... but I hope the images are at least pretty.)
