Hi Jim,
I¹m not sure what your application is but I can tell you that I built
three electrometer boxes back in 1994 to replace our old and failing vacuum
tube based Keithley electrometers. I use the Keithley 485 electrometer. I
provided a ten position push-button switch on the front end to permit users
to select between different beam stops, collimators, etc. The input to each
switch is protected by a SA15C. To my knowledge, we have never had the
input to the Keithley damaged. These are now the ³older generation²
electrometers, perhaps you are using a newer generation that is less
forgiving?
Regards,
- Chris

Hi All Has anyone a fix for the new Keithley's they seem to get knocked
off with even small sparks to the corona.
Any new solutions appreciated.
