Fred,

It should be a straightforward issue to get that motor rewound - with or
without the proceedings.
I've got our GVM motor (an EN, but I believe it's the same or a similar
model in the KN) rewound several years ago. It took a couple of days in one
local electrical machine shop and was compared to a new motor dirt cheap.
Rewinding an electrical motor is standard industry practice, any local
electrical machine shop (-> yellow pages) should be able to do it. The only
unusual about it is, that it has become a bit uncommon to rewind small
machines, because nowadays - due to standardization - small replacement
motors are easy to get and comparable cheap. But in case there is no easy
replacement, rewinding even small machines is still very common.

Regards,
Klaus Bahner

Allan,

Thanks. I'm not sure how to access the proceedings. Are they available
somewhere online?

Regards,

Fred Bateman
